Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Excellent facility free friendly reception the the is very helpful and the response of any questions come it quickly
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management has generally been responsive and professional in addressing concerns raised during the tenancy. Harita is been very helpful answered my questions helped me understand move out inspection and processes, she is very helpful. Maintenance requests were acknowledged promptly, and repairs were carried out within a reasonable timeframe. Communication has been clear and courteous, with updates provided as necessary. On occasions where delays occurred, explanations were given, and efforts were made to resolve matters efficiently. Overall, the management team has demonstrated a proactive and supportive approach to tenant needs, contributing positively to the living experience in the building.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known before moving in is the level of noise that can occasionally be heard from neighbouring flats and the communal areas, particularly during weekends. While not constant, it’s something that might not be apparent during a brief viewing but could affect those who are particularly sensitive to sound. On a more positive note, I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and respectful the neighbours are, which has contributed to a strong sense of community in the building. I would recommend new tenants familiarise themselves with the building’s online portal or communication board early on, as it’s a helpful way to stay informed about maintenance schedules, recycling arrangements, and local events.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in my local area has both positives and negatives. On the positive side, there’s a decent variety of local shops and restaurants, including independent cafés and takeaways, as well as a few well-known supermarkets. The quality is generally good, and prices are reasonable. We also have a few nice parks within walking distance, which are great for families and dog walkers. Transport links are fairly convenient, with frequent buses and a train station nearby that connects to the city centre in under 20 minutes. However, rush hour services can be overcrowded, and road traffic builds up easily during peak times. My street is generally quiet and family-friendly. Parking is available but can be competitive in the evenings. Bin collections are usually reliable, though missed collections do happen occasionally. There’s minimal anti-social behaviour, but you do hear traffic noise during busy periods.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management has been generally responsive, addressing most issues within a reasonable timeframe. However, communication about longer-term repairs or planned works could be improved for better transparency. Harita is so nice and does a nice check before moving out. And I will be really missing the day at wood street house.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how noisy the bin collection can be early in the mornings—especially if your windows face the street or communal bins. It’s also worth checking how strong the mobile signal is inside the flat, as coverage can be patchy in certain parts of the building. I’d also recommend asking about the heating system—ours is centralised, and while efficient, it means less control over when it turns on in shoulder seasons. A helpful tip for new neighbours: get to know the building manager early on—they’re key to resolving small issues quickly.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living at Wood Street House is convenient and enjoyable. The range and quality of local shops, restaurants, and bars nearby is excellent—there’s a great mix of independent cafés, cosy pubs, and takeaway options, along with essential shops just a short walk away. Open spaces like parks are close by, offering a relaxing spot for walks or leisure. Transport links are excellent, with nearby train and bus services making it easy to get around—no issues at all with availability. There’s plenty of parking available for a fee, and bin collections are reliable. The area is generally quiet with low levels of anti-social behaviour or traffic noise, in exception of few days will noisy with parties happening at odd hours.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Very responsive. Deployed their technician to teach about the centralised heating system at ease. Also in a different occasion a technician came over to fix a power trip due to a faulty appliance.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I had viewed the property in 2023 but chose not to proceed with the deal, as the unit I saw was not appealing, lacked brightness, and was priced high in terms of rent. I understand the property has since undergone a refurbishment program, making it much more impressive — had I known about these improvements earlier, I would have moved in sooner.
