We are in a 3 bed semi. The downstairs comprises of a kitchen and utility area , lounge and downstairs toilet. The kitchen opens straight onto the garden which is a decent size. My only criticism would be that the kitchen is not quite big enough to put a dining table in (maybe a small table for 2). Energy all electric and we are just getting used to the heating system but seems very efficient. We have had a couple of issues with a window not closing fully and the front door not locking from the inside (electronic fobs rather than keys) Both dealt with promptly through requests put on the building link app. The app is great and very user friendly. Such a good idea and so much better than trying to get through to your landlord by telephone or email. Cleveland, the Property Manager at Allsop has been our main contact throughout and she has been most helpful and supportive every step of the way, from signing the tenancy to moving in and beyond. Her patience and guidance is a credit to the company,.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We chose Spinning Fields as it was just a 10 minute drive to work for me in town but set in the more rural part of Braintree. Walking into town is about 25 minutes but local transport is also accessible. There is still a lot of building work being carried out as the next phase of the development is underway but our road is complete. Road and driveways nice and wide unlike some developments where houses are literally on top of each other and roads barely take two way traffic.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have had a couple of minor issues but they have been dealt with in a timely fashion and contractors that have come into my home have been polite and respectful,

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

As a new build we had an issue getting the property registered with Royal Mail in good time. As soon as you know you are going to sign a tenancy on a new build contact Royal Mail and Council Tax straight away.

I absolutely adore the house, the neighborhood and how quiet, serene, safe, family friendly and flat the development is. Finally I can take walks with the stroller without running into traffic or going up and down old sidewalks. The management, Mustafa especially has been extremely helpful and available with every single question and issue we’ve had. He’s gone above and beyond to help us settle in to our new home.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There’s a ton of things to do, so many restaurants and shops in close distance. The only improvement I’m expecting is a nursery or small supermarket for urgent necessities inside the development, and a new playground which I hear is being built.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Immediately and always solution oriented. Even the questions I had that didn’t fall under their responsibility, Mustafa always got back to me with solutions.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I was afraid I wasn’t going to like living here, I wish I knew how happy my whole family was going to be as soon as we moved in.

Love the house, the only thing on the design is how the air flow unit is positioned. When on, it blows freezing cold air across the back doors and the patio could have been bigger, as apparently we cannot put anything in front of the fan for at least a meter, really makes the use of the tiny patio impossible. The electric fans in the bathrooms and kitchen are very noisy, so have to turn them off at night. Inside I love the layout, once I got used to the lack of kitchen space, but its bright and airy. The bedrooms are great sized. My first rental so didn't know what to expect, but loving it. Mustafa is brilliant. I have had a few issues and he is always on the ball and helps, either himself or by getting someone round. Can't fault him at all. Thank you.

Lovely area, countryside as soon as you leave the estate. Estate not to crammed in like new estates tend to be, plenty of space, not on top of each other. Parking allocated great. Don't use public transport, so can't comment. The particular road I live in is lovely, quite and neighbours all friendly, bin collection is good, but people seen confused about what days etc, so rubbish quite often left out in front of houses.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Quickly and efficiently, although with the new heating system, it has taken a lot of getting used to, but out of hours help was spot on and very helpful. The only thing really should have been we got proper face to face instructions on how to use the heating system and what to look out for etc. It is a brand new concept and not overly known by people.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Really the bin collection days would be more helpful for everyone to know to save on rubbish being left at the kerb, but off the top of my head I can't think of anything. Will also be nice when the massive holes in the road down The Gallops are fixed !!

We'll review the current fan specifications and look into quieter alternatives for future builds or retrofits where appropriate. Heating System: You're absolutely right—brand new technologies should come with clear guidance. Bin Collections: We’ll revisit how we communicate collection schedules with residents, perhaps through a welcome pack insert or signage, to reduce confusion and keep the estate tidy. Road Conditions (The Gallops): We’re aware of the issue and are actively chasing up the relevant contractors to have this resolved as soon as possible. Great location and a quiet neighborhood. I like the fact that you have your own parking area which is big enough for two cars. Lovely parks around and nice walking area for dogs.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I must give credit to Mustafa. He was great in handling any problems we had. And always quick to respond. He is very friendly and helpful. Thank you!

The area felt safe and had a nice community feel. I didn’t experience any issues and it was a peaceful area.

The building management was good. Mustafa Dar always responded in a timely manner and dealt with any issues we raised.

I wish we knew the distance between the development and local shops
